When you don’t really have plans for your Friday night, why not go to a place that can offer you everything you could possibly want? Johnny Brenda has a menu with all of your pub favorites, a drink menu with a rotation of great beer, and live music. Call your spouse and tell them you will be out for a while.

6. Sterling Pig Brewery

Does it get any get any better than ice cold beer and fresh out of the oven pizza? Yea, I didn’t think so either.

5. Monk’s Cafe

If you consider yourself some sort of beer expert, do yourself a favor and check out the Monk’s Cafe. You will probably need to go there every day for the rest of your life to try every beer on their menu, but it’s worth the try, right?

4. Sassafras Bar

Your evening here will be accompanied by nothing but comfort, from their menu to their warm atmosphere. Try their take on the classic Philly cheesesteak as they use brie cheese, yum.

3. Bob and Barbara’s

Once you step into Bob and Barbara’s you will know exactly what you’re ordering. They are known throughout the city for “The Special“, which consists of a Pabst Blue Ribbon beer and a shot of Jim Beam. I am not too sure you are able to order anything else while you’re there.

2. The Good King Tavern

This is a step above your local diner or dive bar, the Good King Tavern is known for its fine French cuisine and it’s wonderful wine selection. You might want to bring your significant other here instead of all your loud colleagues.

1. Good Dog Bar

You will be sure to see men taking off their ties and women wiping off their lipstick as they settle in and take a load off. The Good Dog Bar is a common place for the after work crowd, so come in with everyone else and finally finish that conversation you been trying finish all week – it’s one of our favorite bars in Philly.
